Administrative assistant

Pendleton UMC, Pendleton, SC (Anderson District) has an immediate opening for Administrative Assistant.  This person will be responsible for preparing routine correspondence and reports; filing of documents; preparing and copying weekly bulletin, preparing and sending out monthly newsletter, and monitor and maintain office and paper product supply.

 

Qualified applicants must demonstrate proficiency in utilizing standard office software (WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint as well as web-based data systems), be able to work with a wide range of personalities, and be able to work independently. Preferred qualifications include the ability to learn the use of new software like QuickBooks,ProPresenter, and Pixelmater.  If not of the United Methodist faith, applicant must be willing to support the United Methodist teaching, doctrine and lifestyle.  Salary is based on 20-25 hours per week.  Standard weekday office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.   Interested candidates should submit résumé and references via e-mail to the head of the search committee:

Nursery Director

Pendleton UMC, Pendleton, SC (Anderson District) has an immediate opening for Nursery Director.  This person will be responsible for fostering spiritual growth in infants and young children participating in the Nursery program.  Each Sunday the Nursery Program provides child care during the 9:00 a.m. modern worship service, 10:00 Sunday School, 11:00 a.m. traditional worship service, and as needed during special services/programs (Lent/Easter, Advent/Christmas, Vacation Bible School). 

 

Qualified applicants must have child care experience, demonstrate leadership skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of personalities.  If not of the United Methodist faith, applicant must be willing to support the United Methodist teaching, doctrine and lifestyle.  Salary is based on approximately $17/hour for an average of 4 hours per week.  Interested candidates should submit résumé and references via e-mail to the head of the search committee:

Pianist / Organist Accompanist

Pendleton UMC, Pendleton, SC (Anderson District) has an immediate opening for Pianist/Organist Accompanist.  This person will be responsible for enhancing the worship experience by accompanying the choir by playing the piano and/or organ during the traditional worship service and special services (Lent/Easter, Advent/Christmas).  This individual will provide accompaniment for weekly choir rehearsals, performances, and cantatas/special music.  This individual will assist the Choir/Music Director with both planning and providing instrumental and choral music as well as be able to substitute as needed in the absence of the Choir/Music Director.

 

Qualified applicants must be proficient in playing the organ and/or piano with experience and or training in performance as a soloist or accompanist, must have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate the ability to work independently and to work with a wide range of personalities.  If not of the United Methodist faith, applicant must be willing to support the United Methodist teaching, doctrine and lifestyle.  Interested candidates should submit résumé and references via e-mail to the head of the search committee:

Youth Ministry Coordinator 

Pendleton UMC, Pendleton, SC (Anderson District) has an immediate opening for Youth Coordinator.  This person will be responsible for fostering spiritual growth in youth (6

th through 12th

grade) participating in the UMYF Program.  Job duties include planning, coordinating and attending weekly meetings (Sunday School, worship services, United Methodist Youth Fellowship), events, retreats, etc.  This individual will also be available as needed for youth counseling sessions.

 

Qualified applicants must demonstrate leadership skills, the ability to work with a wide range of personalities, and be able to enthusiastically relate to the targeted age range.  This individual must be a seminary student, college graduate, or a person enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies.  If not of the United Methodist faith, applicant must be willing to support the United Methodist teaching, doctrine and lifestyle.  Salary is based on 8-10 hours per week and applicant’s level of experience working with middle school and high school students.  Interested candidates should submit résumé and references via e-mail to the head of the search committee:
